The Organizing Team

Lovepreet Dhesi

I am a recent graduate from the University of Calgary with a Bachelors of Commerce degree. I am a strong believer in giving back to the community and the quote I live by is “ If you make it to the top then it is your responsibility to send the elevator down for others”. Since I have graduated, I would like to offer my assistance to others who are currently in the process of completing their degrees. The mentorship program is the best platform to provide that assistance to students.

Puneet Deol

I am an aspiring dentist, currently doing my Bachelors of Science in Biological Science at the University of Calgary. My passion for volunteering was sparked at an early age, which is when I fell in love with the feeling of giving back to the community and making a difference. An integral part of my lifestyle is selfless activism, which gives me the change to perform good deeds, humbly and selflessly. The mentorship program is the gateway that provides me with the opportunity to be a leader in the community and put forth my best effort to bring guidance to those in need.

Raveena Johal

I am currently pursuing my Bachelors of Science majoring in Health Science at Mount Royal University. Giving back to the community is something I have been taught by my parents and mentors. As I progressed through school I had a very strong drive but no one to show me the direction I had to take. A quote I live by is "Fall in love with your own company. No one can bring you peace but yourself." The mentorship program has allowed me to set my goals to a new level. This program is a great stage to start pushing oneself that much harder to fulfill their personal and career goals with the help of a professional who has been through it all.

Harmeet Jaswal

I am currently enrolled at the Haskayne School of business pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree as a Supply Chain major at the University of Calgary. What has motivated me to always pursue my dreams and achieve goals is by having and finding positive role models to motivate myself. I think it is important that everyone has someone in their lives that positively influences them whether or not they know them personally. One of the quotes that always keeps me going no matter what I may be facing is “The struggle you’re in today is developing the strength you need for tomorrow.”

Arun Sahota

I am currently pursuing my Bachelors of Arts in Economics with a minor in South Asian Studies at the University of Calgary. One aspect of Sikhi I abide by is the practice of selfless service. I believe our lives should serve a purpose and we must help each other in the pursuit of happiness. Working through my educational career, I realized that at times we all need guidance and assistance in making the best choice for our futures. The mentorship program provides me with a great outlet to be of service to my community.

Jasndeep Kaler

I am currently pursuing my Bachelors of Science, majoring in Psychology at the University of Calgary. Giving back to the community has been something my parents instilled in me at a very young age, and now, it's like second nature. Being able to help out in society where I am with what I have to offer allows me to provide a helping hand for others. Mentorship provided me with guidance when my future seemed unclear, and for me, it's a legacy that I would love to carry on.

Aishwarya Kaura

I am currently attending the University of Calgary, working on my Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences while aspiring to be an oncologist. I believe that the best way to live life is by making a difference in the lives of others. This program is the ideal platform to get involved in the community while simultaneously taking steps towards my personal and career related goals.
